Day 2 of the FW109 DORA (10-12-2009)

Hello people,

A small work on the kit but important to the next step: the paint job!!!

Heat an old knife to cut the canopy from sprue, and some sand...no marks on it. The canopy was also polished using Tamiya compound coarse and fine. Then, a bath in Future wax and let it dry at least for 48 hours as here in Brazil the humidity is high.

Also, use paper toillet soaked in water to protect the engine and let it dry. Maskol will be apllied in order to prevent some paint to get it to it.

Further to come. Some photos: (sorry about quality)

My best regards

My first kit commissioned,,,what a start!! :o(

Hello people,

I received a contact from a guy here in Brazil, to complet the building of this kit which is half build.

The kit is an old Revell 1/32 scale, FW 190 D-9. Man, that's what I call a lausy kit. The most problematic part is the junction of the wings to fuselage. What a pain in the a$$...very, very bad kit. The whole kit is almost all in high relief.

But as everything in life, the problem is solved.

My next worrie is the decals, which are yellowish, but when I get there I will see what will happen to them.

So here goes some photos:

F6F-3 Hellcat. 29-07-2009

Hello once again,

Pre-shanding done and also the bottom has received the white. Don't really know why but my H & S " EVOLUTION" airbrush starts to do some mess. I thin the tip is dirty inside, but we move along with it.

After receiving the layer of white, and to "break" the white, i mixed on it a drop of light grey and almost 95% of alchool, so I get a very thin moisture, and the vottow spayed with it, showing some dirty on the aircraft.

I think it turn out very nice. Almost an hour and a half for paiting it. But the result is very beautiful

Here goes some pictures:
